I have always found incredibly amazing how my students get stuck reading a text when they find a word they don’t understand. They might be looking at 1,000 words they fully understand, and when it comes to a single unknown term, they only focus on that. Any solution? (more…)

A word is a sound, which also has a written form, with a single or several meanings. Words vary in Grammar terms whether they belong to the noun’s or to the verb’s group, and they tend to be quite difficult as we think that unless we have plenty of vocabulary we cannot speak a foreign language. Can we communicate without much vocabulary? How can we remember new words?

The Cavemen and languages

A great inspiration for the Thinking Languages! method was anthropology. You can think that learning a language and studying the human species is not related, but one of the things that really worry scientist all around the world is how we started talking. We have a big problem on this regarding, and that is that we don’t know for sure. However; we think we know why we needed communication.
